Minneapolis is definitely a mixed bag, but analogously, a couple of decades ago, somebody ran a poll about marijuana. A majority of Minnesotans favored legalization, but a majority also believed that a majority were opposed. Sexually, we're decidedly in favor of gay marriage, okay with polyamory, feel social nudity is a good thing (in a general sort of way), and I have been in a Landmark Forum session in which the audience audibly objected when a young man said he had been abused because he had masturbated together with another teenager. On the other hand, we like it comfortable, so we're not going out of our ways for sexual pleasure. Fortunately the people who make the rules are the people who show up.

it might be stereotyping by I'm surprised a Midwest city would go for it
I'm sure it's not going to be an issue. Too bad.
